AlGammal Contracting

AlGammal General Contracting opened in 2009 as a subcontractor on medium and large electrical distribution networks. It took on full turnkey scopes within a year and has been the group's EPC arm since, working across all 27 governorates of Egypt and on projects in Saudi Arabia, Libya, the UAE and Iraq.

As stated in the company's 2025 prequalification file, the record stands at 216 executed projects and more than 1,500 km of installed network. Energy and power account for 149 of those projects, communications for 47, electricity and gas for 43, water for 15 and oil and gas for 7.

Ninety-one per cent of that work was commissioned by sovereign and governmental clients, which sets the bar the company is measured against: prequalification before award, audit during delivery, and a schedule that utilities plan their own seasons around. Roughly 700 professionals were active across sites and engineering in 2025, and 22 per cent of them are specialist engineers.

What the client contracts for is one accountable party from survey and design through procurement, construction, testing and handover, rather than a set of trades to coordinate.
